1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using PromptGuard ("we", "our", or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the service.
2. Description of Service
PromptGuard is an open-source gateway for managing, filtering, and analyzing Large Language Model (LLM) interactions. We provide tools for routing traffic, securing prompts, and optimizing costs associated with AI API usage.
3. User Responsibilities
When using our services, you agree not to:
- Use the service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law.
- Violate, or encourage others to violate, any right of a third party, including by infringing or misappropriating any third-party intellectual property right.
- Interfere with security-related features of the service.
- Interfere with the operation of the service or any user's enjoyment of the service.
4. Licensing and Proprietary Rights
PromptGuard utilizes a hybrid licensing model to provide both transparency and advanced features:
- Open Source Component: The PromptGuard API gateway is provided under an open-source license. This allows you to audit the code and verify how your API keys and requests are transported and secured. The use of this open-source software is governed by the terms found in the LICENSE file of the respective GitHub repository.
- Proprietary Components: The core engine responsible for data fitting, prompt removal, PII extraction, and advanced analytics is closed-source and proprietary to PromptGuard. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the proprietary engine.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
6. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall PromptGuard, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service.
